We first started the program which was showed in the syllable and heard morgan’s presentation on Thursday in the class. It was important for us to learn how to make and lead the presentation. Therefore we had to concentrate small things he did. His topic was about the overfishing. Although any topic has two sides about its problem, we sometimes have to choose one side.
There are two big reasons why we have to stop overfishing in the sea. First, overfishing is able to break the chain cycle of species. As you know all kinds of animals have the food chain, so if we don’t stop doing overfishing distinctively, probably some of the food chains start to break it, so it’ll connect to the extinct of species in the sea, which already happen here and there. We should be careful. Secondly overfishing will go up the job loss eventually in the future. As quantities of fishes are going down, some fishermen lost their jobs. It’s similar to situation called recession cycle like economic recession cycle. Government has already supported the money for fishermen to keep their work continually. However if species in the sea extinct, it’s no use to doing anything.
In order to keep species in the sea many non-government organizations called the NGO such as Green peace etc have done lots of activities for nature here and there. Also they recommend us that we are able to take participate in joining keeping the nature and helping to stop overfishing. Yes! We can. We can choose the product of sea food which included the logo about where this product is from and spread out this campaign to other people. This way might be the best way to stop overfishing. We have to inform other people the possibility of extinct fish caused by overfishing. I think that small things can change big things. We should do now.
